About

Florette is Claire’s life-long dream come to flower.

Claire kicked off her floristry career aged 13 at Daisies flower shop in her hometown of Oxford, then continued to work as a part time florist to help pay for toasties and discos during her student years in Brighton. During this time her passion for all things bright and blooming only grew and Claire always maintained a dream of owning her own flower shop.

Her love of working with people and being creative has been a thread throughout her career - from fashion editorial to senior level PR and communications in the non-for-profit sector. Throughout this time, Claire kept her passion for all things floral alive by providing wedding flowers for friends and family.

In 2019 Claire finally took the leap into full time floristry with a pop up in a North London concept store. She has now taken Florette footloose and flowery free working with couples, retailers and corporates. She also teaches workshops in various venues across London.

Claire aims to be a conscientious florist, with sustainability central to her ethos to respect the natural world that provides the tools of her trade. She aims to work alongside the British growing seasons, sourcing as local to home as possible and using dried flowers throughout her work. She maintains a zero waste policy, ensuring that unused flowers from weddings and events are donated to charities that can use them to support the communities in which they work.

Claire believes wholeheartedly in the therapeutic and healing aspect of nature and creativity, always maintaining a long-term goal to combine her love for floristry and charity.
